2015

500 pairs of Sport Recovery Sandals (discontinued) were prepared to fit each athletes foot size in advance for Team USA participants at the Summer Games in Los Angeles. As an honored guest; George was chosen to place the first gold medal around the first ever triathlon winner at any Special Olympic games. After the 2015 games, Pierce was designated as Sport Resource Team for triathlon to help develop and grow the sport of triathlon globally within the Special Olympics movement.

2016

As a Sports Resource Team member for triathlon at Special Olympics International, Pierce Footwear combines the corporate missions of unifying athlete’s health, fitness and sports performance globally. This takes place through Healthy Athletes Fit Feet Clinics, which help provide athletes shoes through donations.

2017

Olympic legend and Special Olympics Global Ambassador Bob Beamon joined forces with Pierce footwear to create the co-branded shoe, the BB50. Bob’s brother was a Special Olympian himself! The BB50 shoe celebrates both Bob’s 50-year Olympic long jump record and 50 years of the founding of Special Olympics in Chicago.

Pierce and his team fit over 5,000 athletes that were screened at the Healthy Athletes Program with Beamon branded on every shoe.
