Jingle all the way to see Pierce Footwear & Princess Athletic at the Bend Christmas Parade

Princess Athletic on Wall Street in downtown Bend is the place to get Pierce Footwear for your next run, as well as great gifts for the athletic princesses on your list.

If you’re out shopping or having coffee in downtown Bend on Saturday morning, December 2, you might catch a glimpse of several large elves running like crazy down Wall Street. You may see a large number of dogs pretending to be red-nosed reindeer. Or maybe even Santa himself eyeing something more comfortable and stylish for his feet than those old boots.

Don’t be alarmed. It’s just Bend’s annual Jingle Bell Run and Christmas Parade. The Parade is one of the city’s most popular events and draws thousands of people – young and old – for its midday excursion through downtown. The untimed 5K and 1-mile fun run that precedes it at 11:30 attracts hardcore athletes who don’t mind the typically freezing temperatures, as well as those who like to show off their elaborate Christmas-themed costumes.

Kathleen Quinney, Store Manager at Princess Athletic and George Pierce, Founder and President of Pierce Footwear, will both be there with bells on. Kathleen will be running and supporting the race with a booth near the corner of Wall Street and Newport Avenue. Pierce will be on hand at the booth and later at the store, helping shoppers get the perfect fit for his innovative T1 shoes.

“The T1 is revolutionizing the performance shoe category with its lace-less, tongue-less design and exceptional comfort,” says Pierce. “We should have plenty of the most popular women’s sizes available at the booth before and after the race. And if the snowflakes and December chill get to us, we’ll simply move indoors to Princess Athletic.”

Princess Athletic features fashionable, functional athletic wear and stocking stuffer accessories. Located at 945 NW Wall Street, it’s right next door to Leapin’ Lizards and Goody’s, two of downtown’s most popular stops after the Parade. Why not stop by and satisfy all the “Nice” people on your holiday shopping list.
